UPON ACCEPTANCE, PLEASE BE PREPARED TO DO THE FOLLOWING...
1. When you receive your acceptance email:
-
Pay your booth fees.
-
Your space is guaranteed for 5 days from your acceptance email.

To be considered registered, you must submit payment within 5 days of your acceptance email. After 5 days, your space is no longer guaranteed and may be offered to another interested Artist.

All WAM fees are now processed by Whidbey Island Arts Council and must be paid via their Paypal account. The link will be provided via your acceptance email.

2. Send the following items to:

Images - Submit FIVE(5) hi-resolution jpgs of work you will be presenting at the show

Format to SQUARE (1:1) 1080 X 1080, 300dpi

Limit size to 1-2MB jpgs
-
Label your files:
-
ARTISTNAME_piecename.jpg

Submit individual photos, not montage or collage style
-
Submit well lit and clear photos only
-
What NOT to submit:
-
montage, collage, watermarked, with text overlay, or other “embellished” photos
-
photos out of focus / blurry / super low quality
-
photos with a border
-
unrelated photos - i.e. personal photos, screenshots, or other “non-application” photos, logo only, duplicate photos

Artist Statement -

Submit a brief 2-3 sentence artist statement. What do you make and why do you make it?

3. By October 15, 2024…

‘Save the Date’ Email Broadcast -

Send a group email to as many of your followers as possible.

Use an email marketing tool like EmailOctopus

Video -
-
Send a short video of your artwork or studio

send via Dropbox only.

Name your video file with your last name.
-
Mp4 or mov files only.

Social Media - follow all show participants

Begin Posting Regularly

Tag Posts -Tag the event, tag each other and share, share, share!
4. By October 31, 2024…

Email Invitations -

send a ‘You're Invited’ email to your list

5. Finally…
-
Each artist will be asked to distribute postcards and hang posters around the Island.
-
Each artist will be expected to take responsibility for a small “job”. Examples are hanging signage at the venue, helping to layout the booths prior to setup, setting up snacks, sweeping floors after the event, etc. With everyone helping the tasks are usually easy and quick!
