UPON ACCEPTANCE, PLEASE BE PREPARED TO DO THE FOLLOWING...

1. When you receive your acceptance email:

  • Pay your booth fees. All WAM fees are now processed by Whidbey Island Arts Council and must be paid via their Paypal account. The link will be provided via your acceptance email.

2. As soon as your booth fees are paid, send the following items to:

  • Images - Submit FIVE(5) hi-resolution jpgs of work you will be presenting at the show ​

    • Format to SQUARE (1:1) 1080 X 1080, 300dpi​

    • Limit size to 1-2MB jpgs

    • Label your files: 

      • ARTISTNAME_piecename.jpg​

    • Submit individual photos, not montage or collage style

    • Submit well lit and clear photos only​

  • What NOT to submit:

    • montage, collage, watermarked, with text overlay, or other “embellished” photos

    • photos out of focus / blurry / super low quality

    • photos with a border

    • unrelated photos - i.e. personal photos, screenshots, or other “non-application” photos, logo only, duplicate photos

  • Artist Statement - Submit a 2-3 sentence artist statement. 

  • ‘Save the Date’ Email Broadcast - send a group email to as many of your followers as possible. Open an EmailOctopus account and use that or some other email marketing tool.

3. By November 1st, 2024…

  • Video - send a 1-2 minute video of your artwork or studio

    • end via Dropbox only.

    • Name your video file with your last name.

    • Mp4 or mov files only.

  • Social Media - follow all show participants

  • Begin Posting Regularly 

  • Tag Posts -Tag the event, tag each other and share, share, share!

4. By November 10th, 2024…

  • Email Invitations - send a ‘You're Invited’ email to your list

5. Finally…

  • Each artist will be asked to distribute postcards and hang posters around the Island.

  • Each artist will be expected to take responsibility for a small “job”. Examples are hanging signage at the venue, helping to layout the booths prior to setup, setting up snacks, sweeping floors after the event, etc. With everyone helping the tasks are usually easy and quick!
